Your business is already listed on Crockett Local, it costs nothing, and it stays that way. Here is what that listing does for you.
People look for you on their phone
Almost everyone looks for a local business on their phone now, and they are usually in a hurry. They want three things fast: your number, your hours, and how to get to you. If they cannot find those in a few seconds, they give up and call someone else. Your listing puts all three of them on one screen.

If you have no website, that is fine. For a lot of shops around here, this page is the website.

Call. One tap dials you, so nobody has to write your number down first.
Directions. One tap opens the map and takes them right to your door.
Save contact. One tap drops your name, number and address straight into their phone.
That last one matters the most, because a phone call is one job, while being saved in somebody’s phone is every job that comes after it.
The words you use decide whether people find you
This is the part most owners get wrong, and it costs them work. People do not search using the words a trade uses. They search using their own.
Three real examples from this county:
- Somebody types doctor. Not one listing here says “doctor” anywhere — they all say “medical clinic”. So the search finds the ambulance service instead.
- Somebody types I wrecked my car. Four shops do collision work. None of them uses the word “wreck”, so none of them comes up.
- Somebody types flowers. A florist who only says “florist” is invisible to them.
So when you check your listing, put in the jobs you actually do, in the words a customer would say out loud. Not “General Repair” but “brake jobs, oil changes, tyres”. Not “Confectionery” but “birthday cakes”. It takes a minute and it is the single biggest thing you can do to be found.
One thing worth knowing: your services and the words you list count for a great deal, and the description paragraph counts for almost nothing. Put the important words in the list, not the story.
It helps people find you in other places too
We do more than put your name on a page. We write your details in a form that search tools are built to read. That means your page can turn up in Google when someone searches for what you do. Voice helpers and AI chat apps can read the same page and answer questions about you. It also means your name, address and phone say the same thing everywhere they appear, and search engines trust a business that lines up like that.
